Structure of La Liga
La Liga is structured into a league format known as the round-robin system. Currently, 20 teams compete, facing each other twice throughout the season—home and away matches. Points are awarded based on match results: three points for a win, one point for a draw, and none for a loss. At the end of the season, the team with the most points is crowned champion.
Additionally, the bottom three teams are relegated to the Segunda División, while the top three from Segunda are promoted, ensuring a dynamic competition every season.
